Workplace Rules

We operate a Common Sense policy towards rules on site. We trust you to behave in a sensible manner, and expect you to display common sense whilst at work. There are a few rules though that must be followed at all times.

• Be safe. If you see something unsafe, let a team leader know immediately, and make your colleagues aware. Don’t walk by.

• No horseplay. Don’t muck about. We’re here to work and then get home safely.

• Know what you’re doing. This year we’ve got a lot of new staff who won’t know how things go together. We’ll show you, but if you’re unsure, ask!

• Be on time. Turn up when you’re meant to. Plans for each day are made the day before based on who is going to be on site. Contact Mike ASAP if you can’t make it.

• Wear PPE. Put on the right kit for the job. We provide it all. It’s a closed site with no public or vehicular access, but we're moving heavy things around site.

• Right tools, right job. Use the correct tool for what you’re doing. Not sure how to use it? Just ask and we’ll demonstrate everything.

• Respect the site. We build the Fair in a graveyard. Respect the monuments, don’t lean things on them etc.
